By- Ian Ward ’19 |Online Editor| After a tough start in the first half, Wabash Lacrosse steadied the boat in the second half despite falling 16-6. Wabash started out strong in the first quarter after Collin Brennan ’20 scored just three and a half minutes in. From there, the Trine University Thunder scored 11 unanswered goals until Jake Taylor scored two minutes into the third quarter. From that point forward, it was a back and forth game until the final score was tallied at 16 to 6. According to Chase Cochran ’20 “Coach Culpepper said ‘the first half happened, how do we respond?’ to which we went on to tie in the second half, so I think it’s fitting”. Wabash tallied 38 shots compared to Trine’s 37, and had 21 turnovers. Leading the Way for the Little Giants were Brennan with two goals and Dajon Thomas ’18 with two as well, and Steven Stark ’19 with three assists. From here Wabash Lacrosse will host Wilmington College next Sunday at 1pm at Fischer Field.
