Ian Ward ’19- Online Editor- Today’s victory marked the end of the regular season for Wabash Soccer’s 2017 campaign. Today, the team also honored eight seniors in the pre-game. These accomplishments included being the most winning class in Wabash Soccer history. From there, the Little Giants played a balanced game in less than ideal conditions. These conditions consisted of scattered snow showers, as well as a temperature of 40 degrees throughout the game.

Starting out the game today was back and forth; however, in the 40th minute Cesar Martinez ‘18 pulled the Little Giants ahead. From that point, Wabash took their lead and played a solid defensive game to end with the same score of 1-0. Chad Wunderlich ‘21 recorded his third career shutout in his short Wabash career while protecting the goal with two saves.

“The game went to plan today, and now we must move forward and do things no one expects of us,” Keith Owen ‘20 said.

Wabash will play an undetermined opponent away on Wednesday in the conference semi-finals. Be sure to check out The Bachelor on social media for soccer updates throughout the week.
