Over fall break, the Wabash College cross coutry team was hard at work competing in the Cowbell Classic at Principia College in Illinois against some of the best runners in Division III. The Wabash team got some good experience running on the same course that the 2017 NCAA National Championships will take place on in November. Out of 38 total teams, Wabash was able to come out with the 19th place finish.

In a field of 354 runners, Dominic Patacsil ’19 was the top Wabash finisher, taking home the only Wabash top-ten finish ending the meet in ninth place. He finished in a time of 25:10.87. Luke Doughty ’18 ran his best time of the season with a 128th place finish in a time of 26:52.10. Hayden Baehl ’18 also ran his best time of the season with a time of 27:16.69, giving him a 156th place finish. Aaron Tincher ’18 ran the 8,000 meter course in 27:24.80 to put him in the 168 spot. Wabash finished with 561 team points. North Central finished first with 47 points total.

Wabash competes next at the NCAC Championships next weekend, October 28, at Oberlin College.
